Came into rescue around 10 pounds overweight  and with a uti.   Now that she has lost around 9 pounds we find that she has some arthritis  which we are treating.  Her UTI  has resolved and she is now housebroken.    She has arthritus which we are treating.  But she is showing signs of dementia.  
She is a sweet young lady knows when it's time to eat and demands her meals come when she wants it.  She also is very interested in your food always hoping for you to share.  She knows when it is time for her foster Mom to leave  for work and patiently waits for her 2 pieces of kibble.  
 
Today was a bad bad day.  Panic attack for 4  hours.  Pulling things off my end tables, dumping my lamp. Walking into corners.  Panting  and pacing continuelesssly.   I always start with a mild sedative(trazodone) and then move onto a harder drug 2 hours later.  She had not been on any drugs since before Thanksgiving.   So these episodes are unpredictable.  Almost like a seizure activity.
