We take a moment to remember a wonderful member of the SRCI Family. Kathleen and Carole rescued “Torrie”, the first Sheltie that made them decide to form SRCI. Ellen took Torrie and fostered her until she was adopted by a wonderful family, I believe in Muncie. After Torrie, Ellen continued to volunteer and to foster many Shelties for SRCI. Ellen was a very loving, caring person. She and others spent many years together selling ice cream at the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 to increase the treasury for SRCI. Ellen took a young man under her wing after doing a Home Visit to the family when they adopted a dog from SRCI. She then proceeded to work with him and teach him all about how to care for a Sheltie. She spent time with him volunteering at the local PetSmart to further educate people about our wonderful Shelties. ____________________________________________________________________ FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY: Mo Boulanger Highlighted Dogs
