Rosie is quite the kisser and cuddler. She rides very well in a car, knows her name and comes when called. Rosie has made great strides in her potty training and no longer needs to be crated during the night, she prefers to sleep with her humans. She is still crated while the dogs are home alone. She will go into her crate when her humans start putting on their coats. She knows how to use the dog door in her foster home. She is going through her leash training and is picking it up very quickly. She loves to play with her fur siblings and would do better in a home with another dog that likes to play. Rosie gets along very well with other dogs and cats. She loves her toys and redirects easily to a toy when she selects. other things to chew on that are not acceptable. Miss Rosie is a delightful pup and very loving. She will require a fenced yard.

Rosie is ready for her forever home. Due to her age she will require a foster to adopt home. For the health of the dog, our vet and the National Sheltie Association recommends waiting to spay a female until 2 months after her first heat cycle which normally occurs between 9 and 12 months of age. Waiting until after her first heat cycle protects her from possibly being susceptible to 5 different types of cancer later in life. Her adoption cannot be finalized until she has been spayed.
