Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana

We have a new special needs boy in town. Mr. Howie was surrendered due to a ruptured CCL, possible torn meniscus, a medial luxating patella. After being examined by an orthopedic surgeon, it was determined that he would need surgery. The estimate for this surgery is about $4,100.

He is a very sweet, fun loving little boy with lots of energy. He gets along with dogs and cats alike. He came in at 27 pounds and needing to loose weight which he is doing nicely. His last weigh in was 23lbs. He is very crafty and will wiggle his way around blockades to get where he wants to go, which is usually to the fence so he can visit with his neighbor buddies. Howie knows the commands sit, shake and currently working on lay down. He takes treats gently. He bonds very quickly with his humans and loves to be where ever they are. Howie is completely house broken and will whine if he needs to go out.

Howie is a sweet young man. He had two surgeries on his right rear leg to repair his  ruptured CCL, possible torn meniscus, a medial luxating patella. He was a trooper and never once complained during the ten weeks of physical therapy. He has officially been released from his surgeon.

He is a fun loving little boy with lots of energy. He loves doing zoomies with his neighbor buddies.  He gets along with dogs and cats alike. Howie loves everyone he meets, he will wiggle and smile, he loves the attention. He bonds quickly with his human and is always close. He will alert his foster mom if he sees anyone out in the neighbors yard. 

Howie is completely house broken, if he needs to go out he will alert his human by going to the door, a soft wine, or bark once.
