Hi my name is Tucker and I have
had a rough couple of weeks in Sheltie rescue. I was an owner surrender to the
Indianapolis Humane Society. They tried to help me but were unsuccessful and
thought they would give me to the experts at Sheltie rescue. I came in with sever
upper respiratory problems and food allergies. I also had a very bad ear
infection. My ears are now better. My skin is healing and I am beginning to
play with toys. I have to wait until Thanksgiving to go back to the doctor to see if
I am strong enough to begin the Heartworm treatment.

Hi
everyone,
I have had the first two months of my Heartworm treatment. I am feeling much better and
have found me voice. I didn't bark or show any expressions except sadness until the end of
December. The skin allergies are bad. Just about the time you think we have it whipped, I
have another outbreak. Some of the meds make me sick to my stomach so I have to take
another pill. Mom gives me weekly baths to soothe my skin and make it less itchy. I am
growing new hair in my bald spots. I will get retested for Heartworms in about 6 weeks to
see if we are over that.
March 26th
I will be rechecked for Heartworm in another
week and I my be good to go and taken off the medical hold.

Tucker here. I beat Heartworms and I am only
going to get stronger. I still need special baths for my skin but I am
healing and getting much better. I am ready to find that special person
that will love me and continue my spa treatments. I am completely
housebroken and quite the gentleman. I am not a barker except when
needed. I will bark at you when you fall asleep and forget to feed me or
when the time changes but my stomach time doesn't. And when someone
rings the doorbell. I just want to make sure you heard it. If you tell
me you heard it, I stop barking. |
