Missing Tricolor Sheltie

Returned Home

I work at DeLovely Farm, Inc., an American Saddlebred training facility in Rockport, IN. We have clients from all over the country.
Today, a client from Gainesville, FL came to ride and brought her sheltie with her. While Deborah was taking a riding lesson, her dog Max escaped from the barn lounge, and took off. His fear of a strange place was made more terrifying by the thunderstorm that rolled through about the same time. Max is terrified of thunder.

June 18th,

Just to let you know that the sheltie I emailed you about, Max, lost in Rockport, IN, was found and safely returned to his owner Deborah Butler.

Deborah was thrilled with the response from the Rockport community, and is grateful for all that helped in her search for Max.

The family that was helping with the search, and who eventually caught Max after he crawled into their yard totally exhausted (Max had traveled almost 5 miles in less than 36 hours), was also rewarded by their good deeds when South Spencer High School won the baseball state championship, the son is a senior on the team.

Thank you,
Karen Medicus

Missing Tricolor Sheltie

A tri-color Sheltie whose name is Shelly has been missing on the near southwest side of Indianapolis since 7 AM this morning. She has her collar on and SRCI ID tag and is micro-chipped. Someone opened up the side gate of her yard and that is how she got out. If you have any information, please call Jodi at 317-248-0022 or cell 317-652-0017. Shelly is so shy, she may not go up to anyone who might try to get close to her. Shelly is also afraid of garage doors opening, and most everything else that makes noise and is startled very easily. Thank you!

Recently moved to the area, Pudge most likely has no idea how to find his way back home. Mahogany in color, but has a very grey tint to his fur.  He has no white on his back or back of his neck, but his whole tummy is white. He doesn't have his collar on he is up to date with his shots.  He is very gentle in disposition, but very skittish.  So he most likely is  frightened.
