I’ve just arrived in rescue. I was also just neutered, so it will be a couple of weeks before I’m ready to go to my forever home. I am a sweet boy, but rather timid. I will approach you, but back off when you approach me. I get along well with other dogs. I also need some work with my leash-walking skills, and require a fenced yard. I am housebroken.

If you are searching for a delightful Sheltie please consider Max. This young man is a joy! He is a delight around people both young and old. A bit timid upon his first meeting with you once he trusts you he soon will be your best friend. Very playful and full of life yet content to sit at your side when things quiet down. Now sharing a home with six foster brothers and sisters he has assimilated into the group like he has been there all along. Max will run and play and chase those ever present squirrels. One thing to share is that Max has made friends with one foster sister who has a multitude of behavioral problems. They play like they have been together all their lives. It is one of those things that you just can’t explain! Max is housebroken, neutered and recently had his dewclaws removed. He still needs work on his leash training but has made great strides in a short period of time. Max is a very quiet sheltie but he will let you know if there is a noise which he doesn’t recognize! This young man will be a treasure for some lucky individual/family. |
